This instalment of the Conveyancing Series considers the basics of title issues as well as more complicated issues like dealing with a restricted unit on a strata plan of subdivision.

Dealing with title claims can be costly and time consuming. Claims sometimes arise due to an oversight or a lack of understanding of the information contained in a certificate of title and more recently in the management of electronic titles.

This instalment of the Conveyancing Series is aimed at practitioners of all levels of experience as it considers the basics as well as more complicated issues like dealing with a restricted unit on a strata plan of subdivision. It also considers ethical issues like handing the title to one registered proprietor without the authority of the other registered proprietor(s).
